Daniel Van Domelen, following in his father’s footsteps, has worked at Vanport Marine since 2011. He began his career at Vanport as a welder’s apprentice, gaining hands-on experience from the journeymen that surrounded him. In 2015 he graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Construction Engineering Management. With his combined education and hands-on exposure Daniel rose into a leadership position at Vanport.
Daniel is Vanport Marine’s President. His duties include project and manpower planning, problem solving, maintaining client relationships, and estimating. He places a high value on ensuring an appropriate amount of his time is spent on the deck-plates or jobsite, a trait that employees and customers have shown appreciation for. He is well-respected by customers, subcontractors, and vendors for his responsiveness and integrity.
Outside of work he maintains an active lifestyle. Whether it’s hiking, snowboarding, surfing, fishing, or pick-up basketball, Daniel is a fan of it all.
