Manny Rahim
Manny has over 35 years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication. Manny’s duties include most aspects of the fabrication at Vanport, overseeing fabrications for both shop and field. His priority is to ensure the safety of all employees, while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Manny is Vanport Marine’s Shop Superintendent, joined the Vanport Marine team in 2022, he has over 35 years of fabrication and construction experience. Through his 35 years of steel fabrication, he has led teams in ship repair, barge repair, steel bridge fabrication, steel high-rise commercial projects, hydro projects, and other complex structures.
Manny went to trade school and then joined Union 516 and obtained his Journeyman Ironworkers Certificate. He quickly developed the ability to lead people and refined his skills to become a foreman, shift manager, and ultimately superintendent.
Manny’s duties include most aspects of the fabrication at Vanport, overseeing fabrications for both shop and field. His priority is to ensure the safety of all employees, while maintaining the highest level of quality. Manny is strategic, plans the work efficiently, and is always looking to add value to the projects.
When off-duty, many likes to spend time with his family, experiment in the kitchen, and dive into home improvement projects.
