Portland, Oregon-based Vanport Marine, Inc. has been awarded an IDIQ contract to perform Dockside Repair and Vessel Maintenance on vessels in Regions 5, 6, 7, and 8 (South Western, North Western, Alaska and Hawaii). Among the vessels included in the IDIQ are the Reuben Lasker, Rainier, Bell M. Shimada, Oscar Dyson, Fairweather, Oscar Elton Sette and others. The contract period began on August 18, 2018 and will extend for a period of five years. The maximum value of the contract is in excess of $74 million dollars.

The dockside repairs will be performed at each vessel’s home pier and include full inspections, testing, repair, and maintenance services. The maintenance and repair services will include preservation of ship structures, deck covering systems, welding processes, temporary hull access, electrical and HVAC systems, auxiliary machinery systems, shipboard ventilation systems, electrical rotating machines, generators and motors, propulsion systems, and tank and void inspection, testing, repair and maintenance.
